Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal data by Admission Suggestion ("we", "us", "our"), an independent education admission counselling service operating from Pune, Maharashtra, India.

This Policy is formulated in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (SPDI Rules), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), to the extent applicable.

Consent By submitting your information through our website, enquiry forms, WhatsApp, phone, or any other channel, you explicitly consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in this Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal and academic information when you engage with our services:

A. Personal Identification Data

  • Full name, date of birth, gender, photograph
  • Mobile number, WhatsApp number, email address
  • Residential address, city, state, PIN code
  • Aadhar number, PAN (where required for payment verification)
  • Parent/guardian name, contact number, occupation

B. Academic & Examination Data

  • 10th and 12th standard marksheets and percentage/grades
  • CET (MHT-CET), JEE Main / JEE Advanced scores and ranks
  • Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH, etc.)
  • Domicile and caste validity certificates
  • CAP Round registration details and preferences
  • College and course preferences

C. Financial Data

  • Transaction reference numbers for payment of counselling fees
  • UPI IDs or bank details (only as needed for refund verification, if any)

D. Technical & Usage Data

  • IP address, browser type, device information
  • Pages visited, time spent on website, referral source
  • WhatsApp/SMS/email interaction logs

Purpose of Data Collection

Your personal data is collected and processed for the following lawful purposes:

  1. To provide personalised admission counselling for CET, JEE, and CAP Round processes
  2. To assist with college selection, application filing, and document preparation
  3. To facilitate communication via call, WhatsApp, SMS, or email regarding admissions
  4. To share your academic profile with colleges or institutions (including management quota seats) on your behalf, with your explicit authorisation
  5. To send important admission-related updates, deadlines, and notifications
  6. To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  7. To improve our services based on aggregated, anonymised feedback

Consent & Communication Preferences

TRAI / DND Compliance Statement In accordance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regulations and the Do Not Disturb (DND) Registry guidelines, we communicate with you only after receiving your explicit, informed consent to receive calls, WhatsApp messages, and SMS updates from us. By submitting your contact details to us, you provide such consent.

You may withdraw your consent to communications at any time by writing to us at our registered email. Please note that withdrawal of consent to communications may affect our ability to provide timely counselling services during your admission process.

Transactional communications (e.g., payment confirmations, document receipt acknowledgements) are exempt from DND restrictions and will continue regardless of your communication preferences.

Section 5

Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

Important Disclaimer on Data Sharing By engaging our services, you expressly authorise us to share your academic and personal data with colleges, universities, and educational institutions as reasonably necessary to facilitate your admission process. We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your data with the following categories of recipients:

  • Colleges and Universities: For application submissions, eligibility checks, and management quota inquiries, pursuant to your instructions
  • Payment Processors: To process counselling fee transactions securely
  • Government Authorities: Where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority
  • Service Providers: IT vendors, CRM platforms, and communication tools engaged by us under confidentiality obligations

We do not share your sensitive personal data with unrelated third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Section 6

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for a period of 3 (three) years from the date of last engagement, or as required by applicable law, whichever is longer. After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymised. Financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years in compliance with tax and accounting regulations.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures as mandated under Rule 8 of the SPDI Rules, 2011, including:

  • Password-protected storage systems for digital records
  • Restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Secure communication channels for document transmission

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Your Rights Under DPDP Act, 2023

Subject to the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements

  • Right to Nominate: Nominate a representative in the event of death or incapacity

Terms & Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between Admission Suggestion ("Company", "we", "us") and the student and/or parent/guardian ("Client", "you") seeking admission counselling services.

By engaging our services — whether through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, in-person consultation, or any other channel — you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

Please Read Carefully If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, please do not engage our services. Engagement of services constitutes unconditional acceptance of these Terms.
Clause 1

Nature of Services & Independent Status

Important Declaration Admission Suggestion is an independent, private education counselling consultancy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of any college, university, government authority, or examination board including but not limited to MHT-CET Cell, JoSAA, DTE Maharashtra, or any individual educational institution.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Guidance on MHT-CET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced examination strategy
  • Counselling for CAP (Centralised Admission Process) rounds conducted by competent authorities
  • Assistance with college preference selection, form-filling, and documentation
  • Facilitation of inquiries regarding management quota seats at private institutions
  • General career and course guidance in the engineering, pharmacy, and related streams

Our role is strictly advisory and facilitative. We do not make decisions on your behalf and are not authorised to represent you before any government body unless separately and explicitly agreed in writing.

Clause 2

No Guarantee of Admission

Absolute Disclaimer — Please Read Admission Suggestion provides guidance, information, and facilitation only. We do not guarantee, promise, or assure admission to any college, institution, or programme, whether through CET merit, CAP Round, management quota, or any other process. Admission outcomes depend on merit, seat availability, reservation policies, institutional criteria, and governmental processes entirely beyond our control.

No employee, representative, or associate of Admission Suggestion is authorised to make verbal or written guarantees of admission. Any such representations, if made, shall be void and not binding on the Company.

The Client acknowledges and agrees that:

  1. Our counselling fee is charged for professional guidance services, not for securing admission
  2. Outcome of any admission process is the sole determination of the concerned authority/institution
  3. We shall bear no liability for non-admission, waitlisting, or any adverse outcome in the admission process
Clause 3

Fee Structure, Payment & Refund Policy

A. Counselling Fee

Our counselling fees are communicated to the Client prior to engagement and are payable as per the agreed schedule. All fees are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.

B. Non-Refundable Policy

Non-Refundable Fee Clause All counselling fees paid to Admission Suggestion are strictly non-refundable. Once payment is received, it shall not be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to: non-admission to the desired college, withdrawal of the application by the Client, change of mind, dissatisfaction with counselling outcome, or any force majeure event.

C. Fee Separate from Institutional Charges

The counselling fee paid to Admission Suggestion is entirely separate from any tuition fees, management quota donations, institutional fees, or any other charges payable directly to colleges or institutions. We do not collect any money on behalf of colleges or institutions.

D. Cancellation of Services

If a Client wishes to discontinue our services mid-process:

  • No refund shall be issued for services already rendered
  • The Client shall provide written notice of discontinuation via email
  • Admission Suggestion shall have no further obligations to the Client upon receipt of such notice

E. Disputes on Payments

Any dispute regarding fee payments must be raised in writing within 7 days of the disputed transaction. Beyond this period, the transaction shall be deemed accepted by the Client.

Clause 4

Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

  1. Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal, academic, and documentary information
  2. Inform us promptly of any changes in examination scores, category status, or preferences
  3. Respond to communications in a timely manner, particularly during critical admission windows
  4. Not hold Admission Suggestion responsible for adverse outcomes arising from inaccurate or late information provided by the Client
  5. Comply with all official admission processes, deadlines, and requirements of the relevant authority
  6. Independently verify all information provided by us through official government/institutional sources before acting upon it
Clause 5

Communication Consent

By registering with us or submitting your contact details, you explicitly consent to receive service-related communications from Admission Suggestion via:

  • Telephone calls (voice)
  • WhatsApp messages (text, documents, voice notes)
  • SMS (short message service)
  • Email

This consent is provided voluntarily and in compliance with applicable TRAI regulations. You may opt out of non-transactional communications by notifying us in writing; however, this may limit our ability to provide timely counselling.

We will not use your contact information for any unrelated marketing or commercial purposes without your separate, explicit consent.

Clause 6

Data Sharing with Colleges

As part of our services, we may share your academic profile, contact information, and relevant documents with colleges and institutions on your behalf for the purpose of:

  • Checking eligibility and seat availability
  • Submitting applications for management quota consideration
  • Obtaining admission-related information
Authorisation Statement By engaging our services, you authorise Admission Suggestion to share your data with colleges for the above purposes. We are not responsible for how such institutions handle your data once shared, as their own privacy policies govern such processing.
Clause 7

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Admission Suggestion, its proprietors, employees, associates, and agents shall not be liable for any of the following:

  • Loss of admission opportunity due to factors beyond our control
  • Any error or omission in information provided in good faith, based on available official data
  • Any delay or failure caused by governmental or institutional processes
  • Any financial loss, consequential damage, or indirect loss suffered by the Client
  • Any action taken by the Client based on our counselling advice that results in an unfavourable outcome
  • Technical failures in communication channels (call drops, WhatsApp outages, email delivery failures)
  • Changes in admission rules, seat matrices, or reservation policies by government or institutions after we have provided guidance

Our total liability, in any event, shall not exceed the counselling fees actually paid by the Client to us for the specific service in question.

Clause 8

Management Quota Services

Where we assist with management quota admissions, the Client acknowledges that:

  1. Management quota admissions are conducted by individual private institutions under their own policies and fees
  2. Any fees paid to colleges for management quota seats are paid directly by the Client to the institution and are not in any way collected, controlled, or guaranteed by Admission Suggestion
  3. We provide only facilitation and contact services; we do not guarantee availability of management seats at any institution
  4. The Client should conduct independent due diligence regarding the institution's reputation, fee structure, and legitimacy before making any payment to any institution
Anti-Fraud Notice Admission Suggestion will never ask you to pay any amount in cash directly to us for management quota seats. All our service fees are paid via official digital channels with receipts. Beware of fraudulent intermediaries.
Clause 9

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, counselling materials, and data compilations, is the intellectual property of Admission Suggestion and is protected under applicable Indian law. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Clause 10

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of all information shared during the course of the engagement. Admission Suggestion shall not disclose Client information to unauthorised third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.

Clause 11

Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Admission Suggestion, its proprietors, employees, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Breach of these Terms by the Client
  • Inaccurate or misleading information provided by the Client
  • Actions taken by the Client contrary to our advice or applicable admission regulations
Clause 12

Force Majeure

Admission Suggestion shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed lockdowns, changes in admission policy, technological failures, or any other force majeure event.

Clause 13

Amendments

Admission Suggestion reserves the right to amend, update, or modify these Terms at any time without prior individual notice. The updated Terms will be published on our website. Continued engagement of services after publication of amended Terms constitutes acceptance.

Clause 14

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Jurisdiction These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

In the event of any dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through good-faith negotiations within 30 days of notice of dispute. If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, with proceedings conducted in Pune under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended).

Clause 15

Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable under applicable law, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Admission Suggestion with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior representations, discussions, or agreements.
